WHAT THE FRINGEDWELLERS STAND FOR
Listen to audio

What the Fringedwellers stand for
is recognition
of their rights
to have the right
to know who they are and where they come from
and what they want to be

That’s what counts the most these days

The worsest thing that could have happened to Aboriginal people of australia
is to have a Labor government
above all
a woman Premier in Western Australia
is disasterous to us the Aboriginal people

One would have thought
being a woman
and her ministers under her
which is Carmen Lawrence
would have had sympathy for the aboriginal people

But none

They worser than the men
they worser than the jam toe socks that the mens wear
they attacked our children
they attacked our sacred sites
they want to destroy them
they trying to force us to take up religion and culture
of theys

Which means going to the catholic church
or the church of england
or salvation army
or the lutheran church
and believe in all that
what they believe in
which we know is wrong
which they don’t respect themselves
they tenth commandmant
say they shall not kill
they shall not commit adultery
or rape
or steal
and they did all those things

All the deaths in custody
there was no one charged
teenage boys and girls
are going into jail now

Seperate laws been passed through parliament
just to keep them jailed away

Destroy their minds
of they Aboriginality

Force them to try and think like white boys and girls

And in turn become adult women of men of tomorrow
and do the exact same thing that the adult men and woman
are doing in the white race
driving to work
driving home
going out for a weekend on saturday
and running into the church and praying forgiveness for your sins of the week

Sexing it up
drinking
smoking marijuana
catching disease
and dying out
and poluting the country

that’s all the fashionable lifestyle
that the white man’s got to offer the black man

It’s his country

It’s like the whiteman’s come
into the blackman’s camp
dropped his pants
and shit and pissed all over the place

It’s not a chip on your shoulder
it’s factual facts

One only has to look at the progress
that the white man’s did since he come here

And he did a whole lot of damage to the country

He’s polluting the country
he’s polluting the universe
the air up there
he’s destroying everything
he’s like a bad disease
everything he touch
starts to rot and mold
and become unbearable
to touch
look
or smell

My name’s Robert Bropho
I’m the shit stirrer
that the government says
‘Oh, he’s paranoid
you can’t say nothing to him
cause he won’t listen’.

It’s the other way round

The black man can’t say anything
because he’s just gotta
take
take
take

What the white man hands him out

Police brutality
discrimination after discrimination
coming from politicians

The Aboriginal people face today
there’s no human rights
basic human rights for them
they don’t exist
they not a race of people any more
they landless
they homes was taken away from them
they been deprived of they comforts
and the love and affection of they mother
which is the land
that gave them life
